No more hot spots visible on radar for the time being. We should be okay to sleep now... finally!

It hasn't reached me then. Does this mean I don't have to worry about a tornado?

I think it is on its way. I've only lived here a year. I am used to basements in the midwest. What the heck do you do when you don't have a basement in a tornado? The kids are all asleep upstairs. Do I leave them? I can't get a decent street map up on the news website.

No, please don't leave them...

I've been at the store all night... One thing I can't get used to around here, NO SIRENS!!! I come from Kansas originally and it just blows me away that there's no sirens around here. I had no idea that there was a tornado warning!!!

Ummm... now I'm not sure if it's safe to sleep or not...
I've heard that IOP has voluntary evacuations going on now for Charley's arrival. Anybody else from Charleston heard anything?

I just heard that tomorrow the Govenor might ask for voluntary evacuations for the area. I am only a couple of miles from IOP. Haven't heard any specifics though. One of my best friends lives there. I'll have to ask her.

We're wondering at the store when or if mandatory evacs are going to come. I'm at Mt Pleasant and we ordered Water galore for an emergency truck shipment for Saturday, but we're not sure if we'll get it in time. Tonight we went through 5 pallets of Water and we're down to the last of the batteries. Flashlights and weather radios are already gone...
