What to do?

#1 Postby david1 » Fri Aug 13, 2004 6:06 am

Stay here in Lake City or go to Wildwood. I need to be on the east side of wall, either way I will stay inland.
Any suggestions where the eye will pass through?

Thanks

Whatever you decide to do... do it soon. Time is of the essence.

Wait till about noon and you will have a good idea. Then hop in your car and get to ground zero...its very easy to do it if you want. Good Luck.

This is not a baby storm... I am sure you realize that, but I just want to stress how dangerous it is.

It's a good way to end up dead too.

Seriously consider NOT getting into the eastern eyewall. This is going to be a Category 3, not something to play around with.

Unless you have a hook up in wildwood I would stop in ocala. Not many places to stay in wildwood and I would bet they are full with tampa evac.

I do appreciate your concern, If I have never done this before I would not do it with this one.
I have safe places to stay in Wildwood and Lakeland.
Thanks again

I will also keep in touch with Mark Sudduth (hurricanetrack.com) and keep the board informed of conditions.
