check out the last frames... looks like its changing to NNE... This could save Tampa the brunt of the storm.

Much to my distress, I have been hearing reports also it is going more towards Fort Myers/Sarasota area. I have 2 sisters and a brother in Port Charlotte area (actually Punta Gorda). Looks like it gonna be a long day and evening.

Steve Lyons says Port Charlotte, just N of Ft. Myers due to the slight NNE jog the storm has taken.

Steve Lyons says Port Charlotte, just N of Ft. Myers due to the slight NNE jog the storm has taken. I still believe the storm will make landfall just S of Tampa.

I predicted landfall between Sarasota and Ft. Myers yesterday afternoon and I'm still holding with those thoughts. Radar loop shows a eastward drift.....MGC

Has anyone thought of the eye skipping up the west coast instead of moving onshore.
