Caution; AIM Today hacked!

#1 Postby streetsoldier » Sat Mar 29, 2003 11:40 am

When I opened my AIM this morning, the AIM Today window was blank, white with a simple "yo, FABIAN!" displayed...a reference to Saddam's battle plan, which has been described as "Fabian" by the talking heads (i.e., sucker your enemy in, then surround and destroy him, AND yourself at the same time). :grrr:

I'm glad I don't have it, but thanks for the FYI. It could be any IM service.

Hacked IM???????

#6 Postby Steve H. » Sat Mar 29, 2003 1:49 pm

It probably originated from Westchester; gee I think from Hilary's block :o But really not a laughing matter. Sad if it's one of our own, and it could well be. :grrr:

I use Trillian too, but don't use AIM on it. Everyone I know uses msn or icq -- more secure.
