Bad news, not war related....

#1 Postby StormCrazyIowan » Sat Mar 29, 2003 3:00 pm

Just now found out (in the middle of the day, what gives?!?) that one of my step-sister's DRUNK friends :grrr: RAN INTO THE BACK END OF MY CAR LAST NIGHT!!!! I have a HUGE dent!

He said he would pay in cash, well, I have an uncle who works in a body shop, I'll teach him to drive drunk again! :grrr: Gee, aren't foreign cars expensive to fix?? Hhmph!

"Pay in cash", huh?? Sounds like he has no insurance, and doesn't want to lose his license...tag him, while you have him by the short hairs!

You know, I have a little broken window, I think I'll have my uncle add that into the estimate! Hmm, and didn't my brother say I should check on my front right shocks? Oh, and my hood is still dented up from when I shattered my windshield! :grrr:

Well Bronnie you are in the clear! My car sits very low to the ground, and was hit by a Durango, so the big dent is well above the bumper! It was hit at 2 am when the guys came to see if my sis was home, which she wasn't, and my dad watched the guy hit it! And the worst part is, they tried to deny it, my dad says if he wouldn't have seen it they probably would have hit and ran! :o :grrr:

I know the feeling Jacki :(

I'm without wheels this entire weekend. My Plymouth konked out Thursday evening (fuel pump died), and it'll be Monday afternoon before I get it back from the auto repair shop.

Thank goodness Pizza Hut delivers :D

A big AMEN to Pizza Hut!

It's just frustrating, because I have so many other things to worry about with that car, and I still owe $3500 on it! :o

So sorry to hear about that Jacki! :(

Wow, it's a good thing your dad saw the whole thing or they probably would have gotten a way with it. Sounds like your sis needs some new friends!!

That is for sure! But she is in the same binge drinking coming home the next day pattern! At least she doesn't drive drunk though! I just wish she would grow out of that!

I'm sorry too to hear about the accident. It is a good thing that you have someone you know and trust to be able to fix your car properly. Good luck!

She's 19? Yeah, been there. I hope she outgrows it soon too though. Thank God she wasn't in the vehicle with her friends and it wasn't any worse than it was. They do need a big lesson in drinking & driving! So many people do it but sadly, so many innocent lives are lost that way too.

Anyway, good luck with getting your car fixed.
