lol Mary, I wasn't really saying she was a real role model, although she is heads and shoulders above Britney. As the people in the chatroom will tell you, I am a huge Sheryl Crow fan, so my reply was somewhat of a joke. To be sure, she has done some things that aren't very role-model-ish, but then again, haven't we all?

I would like to apologize to Helen for the tone of my previous post, but not the content. My opinion was not meant to slam or discredit Helen's opinion. However this is a subject I feel passionately about, as I am right at the thresh hold of living it. I have a 10 yr old daughter who is as impressionable as any girl at that age. When you become a mother, you have to transcend your previous life, you have to lift yourself up and become a role model for your children. I just don't believe Britney Spears will instantly delete the overt and age inappropriate sexual content of her concerts and lifestyle. Having said that, if this were indeed to occur, I would be the FIRST in line to congratulate her as being a "good" mom, for having put her new stepchildren's well being ahead of her own needs. Britney already has enough money to live the rest of her life comfortably.....what's more important...Britney Spear's ego to remain a popular star, or her desire to be a good mom to her new stepchildren? We'll see.

All american family??? She was divorced after like 24hrs, the mom of those poor kids was still married and preggers when Brit was "dating" this guy. Oh, and Im sure she will have the nanny sing the lullabys while she is on tour or touring the clothing stores. Oh and Im sure the all american Mom can say they have been practically naked on the front of magazines.. Oh mom Im so proud of that pic of you on rolling stone!!!
Im not saying she will not be a good mother in the future, but she has not displayed the most wonderful choices of late now has she.

What? The real, bio mom - carry the kids in her uterus for 9 months, get up with them in the middle of the night, care for them, wipe up their vomit, change messy diapers - can't compare?

PS - this post is meant in no way to offend any Step-parents here at S2K. Step-mom's and dad's can fill a wonderful void in children's lives I'm certain of. But to dismiss a bio parent in favor of a step-parent, especially Britney Spears? Shaking my head here....
PSS - I've decided this is my last reply on this thread Helen. You see it one way, I see it completely another way. Let's agree to disagree!
