Bad News...Iraqis try to kill President!

#1 Postby streetsoldier » Sat Mar 29, 2003 12:01 pm

FoxNews reported that a small group of Iraqis tried to trade Iraqi dinars for $325 M in cash , and get someone to smuggle them to the President's ranch in Crawford TX via Mexico. The transaction didn't take place, but no word on the Iraqis at this time.

This is why I think it is sooooooooooooooooooooo STUPID that we give a play by play on tv on the exact location of the press.

I agree Chad. It is not secure to give the in's and out's of the Presidents movements.

From what I've heard on FoxNews, the President and First Lady are NOT being shown leaving for any location in "real time"...and prehaps their "destination" is disinformation, as well...same with VP Cheney and his lady.

THat Iraq is even making the attempt is concern enough, y'think?

Unfortunately, this is the stuff we have to expect will happen. I'm glad that the transaction didn't take place and nothing happened. I hope they do find those Iraqis because they are going to keep on trying to get at the President, I'm sure. This is all the more reason for us to stay vigiliant and report anything that looks suspicious.

I agree Stephanie...every single one of us needs to stay alert and report anything that looks suspicious, no matter how trivial we may think it is. Let the authorities decide that.

I've missed a lot of news this morning and I hadn't heard this. It is very disturbing, but certainly not shocking. I agree we don't need to know where the President is at all times, especially now.

Amanzi, nothing sounds worse at night than the sound of a 12 gauge pump shotgun! The good thing is that you don't have to be a great shot, just close!

Not Sure What Happened!

#11 Postby Steve H. » Sat Mar 29, 2003 1:45 pm

I guess I don't understand what happened. They ried to bring cash to his ranch? I'm not being sarcastic, just didn't get what they were trying to buy....anyone know? I'm having trouble getting onto Fox.

That amount of money can buy access to the US, whatever weapons they need, and a quick exit after the deed is done...and maybe a hooker or two to while away the hours in between.

If True

maybe this will get the Feds off their dead behinds and moving to secure our Border with Mexico which is really getting out of control. You have no idea (thanks to deliberate suppression of the News) as to what's going on along "The Sieve" as I call the AZ/Mexico Border right now. In fact very few people outside the Border zone even in AZ and NM do either as the news that gets reported locally (such as the carjacking by Mexican Illegals in broad daylight in Sierra Vista last week or the fact that 94 illegals were caught crossing Fort Huachuca in one weekEND [usually 1/3 to 1/5 of all illegals get caught]) seldom even makes it into the Tucson News outlets. Anti-American feeling is rising in Mexico which can no longer be considered a friendly nation so we need to close that Border down and tack down and deport all illegals living this Country and prosecute and convict those who employ or hide them regardless of their economic or popular status.
