Significant News Flash: Wow!

#1 Postby wx247 » Wed Aug 18, 2004 7:17 pm

KTTS-FM News in Springfield, MO is reporting that the Dept. of Homeland Security in Missouri has received numerous calls of Middle Eastern men at the Lake of the Ozarks asking specific questions in regard to Bagnell Dam, such as how much gas one boat holds, how far from a particular marina to the dam, etc.

In addition, recent intelligence has also indicated the possibility that Al Qaeda might be doing surveillance on the Bagnell dam in MO.

Wow!!! This is scary. I wonder how many other places they are doing this and are under the radar. I just want to let you know that I just heard this at the top of the hour on KTTS-FM in Springfield, MO. I have spent the last few minutes looking at news websites and can not find any other story to back this one up.

Garrett - very frightening story. Please keep us updated.

Is this a large dam, as large as Hoover Dam maybe? You'd think they'd go for Hoover.

I would hope that this radio station got this news from somebody else. Because if they are the only ones, that could be a mistake. Most of the time radio station will get most of their new from the AP, and then some of the smaller local news they will come up with themselves. But to bring a possible attack into the news, that would be risky needless to say.

The local NBC affiliate in Tucson did an Investigative report entitled "Terrorist Alley" where they documented the fact that people from the Terrorist Watch nations have been coming across the Border here in Cochise County in numbers. They come through Spain into South America where they learn Spanish to blend in with the Mexicans-then they fly to Mexico and come to the Border in AZ. They pay up to 50000 dollars to smugglers to bring them through. A few have been caught and some have been designated as SIA's (Special Interest Aliens) about which the Government will say nothing (nor will they say anything about the OTM's [Other Than Mexicans] that are caught. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence of this in the form of prayer rugs, papers with Arabic and Farsi written on them, etc. The reporting team spent 1 hour filming the border south of Sierra Vista and during that time they counted 198 illegals coming through in BROAD DAYLIGHT!! They reported the sightings to the BP but the BP never found them. Liberal viewers, of course, condemned the report as racist since they seem incapable of realizing that not all illegals are poor innocents seeking a better life (they need a better handle on reality). Meanwhile, Congressmen running for reelection in Border districts are encountering larger and larger groups of angry and hostile voters.

Where is that in regards to Warsaw, MO? I have friends there. I know they are on Lake of the Ozarks, but haven't spent enough time there to know the area
