Karan - I peeked and I admired!!! Lots of work went into your "gardens" as you say! Lots of hours I'm guessing. And you work full-time don't you? You sure have my respect. In my yard you'd be aghast to see very little much, weeds in places and not a single annual this year. Someday when my kids are off to college and I have free time again, maybe I'll get back into it. But by then I suspect we'll be in a condo, if Jim has his way! LOL Just this morning, we had at least 4 errands to run. My neighbors I'm sure are shaking their heads at me but we had to run back up to the kids HS so Laura could walk thru her schedule one more time, grab lunch, drop off Rx's for school, pick up Rx's, drop Nina off at work, and we hope to go back to school since Laura's still quite nervous (school starts tomorrow). And get groceries too. All before 4:30. Then pick Nina back from work at 5, hurry home and make dinner. Then back out for a 7:30 Orchestra Concert, learned/rehearsed from summer camp.

School hasn't even started yet and I'm worn out. Now maybe you can why my yard looks the way it does. I should post a few of my pics, huh? LOL

But you go girl - I enjoyed looking at your beautiful pics Karan.

Mary, a lot more work goes into raising that family of yours and that's far more important than any old garden!!!!!!!!!! You keep doing the good job you're doing.

Yep, I work full time, but my girls, as you know, are finished college and raising families of their own. If I didn't have my gardens and cooking to keep me out of trouble, you'd probably be reading about me in the paper. lol Plus, if I'm not doing something I feel like a SLUG.

Actually tending to a garden reminds me alot of raising the girls. I guess it's that nurturing thing - Tending to something so it grows straight and strong and has substantial roots to make it on it's own.

Anyway, you make me tired just listening to your schedule. ((Hugs)) my friend on the great work you're doing!!

Karan - I make myself tired just reading what I posted!!! LOL We did make it back up to her school for two walk-thru's with her schedule. What a stressful time - don't walk too far ahead Mom, don't lag behind, I wish I was with my sister, not my MOM, on and on. Later when we got to the car, Laura said - I'm sorry Mom. Whew, we hit Krogers next. And that school supply aisle. Of course she found a magnetic pencil holder for inside her locker. Guess what our next stop was? You got it - back to school. Laura is my youngest, has ADD and I've just learned that she needs to be well prepared for anything new. She needs reassurance it will go well. I think she's now 80% prepared. The other 20% will come in time. No matter how many times I say other Freshmen students will be lost and confused too, it just doesn't help.

I need a Calgon, take me away, finish to my day!!!

But thanks Karan. Believe it or not, I will miss these days I'm sure. Nina is my busy student, of her own choosing (Orchestra, Dance, Pride/JustSayNo/PeerCounseling, Mock Trial, and now wants to give Elem school kids violin lessons on her ONE free day, Friday afternoons!). She has us running at times. When she goes off to college I do think it will be a shock! I'd like Laura more involved at her school too, but again, with activities of her own choosing. She'll find her own way. She needs that gentle push. Nina never needed any encouragement!!! But siblings are individuals.

Your girls I'm certain turned out so well Karan. So pat yourself on the back when you're tending that garden - you did a wonderful job too!

Being a Mom was the job I wanted most in this world. Sometimes I need be grateful for this job and not complain how hectic it is huh? LOL

I took a walk that way too, Karan. Enjoyed the sights and smells! Could even hear the busy little bees!

Congratulations on your green thumb...you obviously take care of your flowery friends, and they pay you back with smiles when you snap the photos.
