JB's Storm is ready to go...

Folks were looking at the start of Gaston Right off the coast of Daytona. MLC is there..Look out when it gets to the surface could be a quick Developer and a short lifetime I say it comes ashore somewhere along the East coast by the end of the weekend..

interesting... I think it might be like the TD we had last year that hit Georgia... or it could go up the coast.

What hills? You live in FL!!!!

In answer to your question though-it appears that whatever happens off the East coast this week/weekend will strictly be for areas to the North of FL.

Well, they mentioned it in the TWO.
AN AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS NEAR THE SOUTHEASTERN COAST OF THE UNITED STATES IS ASSOCIATED WITH A WEAK LOW PRESSURE AREA ALONG AN OLD FRONTAL SYSTEM. SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATE THAT PRESSURES ARE HIGH IN THE AREA AND DEVELOPMENT...IF ANY...SHOULD BE SLOW TO OCCUR.
So a low pressure area is there, albeit weak. You never know, though. I wouldn't mind a nice tropical storm riding up the coast. It's been dry here. Is the circulation (mid level) at around 30 79?

Nope, we've been very lucky. :) A hurricane hit about 100 miles northward in 1903, but none have hit us. Gloria came close (it was supposed to hit Atlantic City), but I feel kind of guilty living on the ocean and not having to worry about hurricanes, but it is a trade off for having frigid winters!

Good point! lol. I guess my native home of Ohio was shining thru for a moment there... :roll:
