Islands worst scenario

#1 Postby Fego » Thu Aug 26, 2004 10:17 am

More than Florida & east coast, here in the island we are dealing with a sotrm-hurricane that every hour keep us guessing about her track and intensity. Said that, I would like to read the veterans, the experts about facts, historical, climatol... I guess that Frances at 60w/15n is not a good scenario, and she keeps her 285/ 290 mov.. Any thoughts?

Well not a good scenario shaping up for the northern islands as it is forecast to be a major cane close to the islands. The good thing is that if it passes close to the islands to the north the weaker side or the south side would pass but there is no guarantee that will happen.

The most important thing that has to happen is for Frances to clear the 20n latitud before it gets to the longitud of the northern leewards and the VI and Puerto Rico so let's watch the track to see if it clears from 18n to 20n and then we can wave from the islands ADIOS!!!.

I can't imagine how you must feel, being on an island in the track of so many storms! Florida is bad enough!
