Want a great new book?

#1 Postby OrlandoDad » Thu Aug 26, 2004 11:35 am

Hello, fellow Storm2k friends,

I thought you might like to check out my new book, Raising Dragons, the first of a four book series. It's an inspirational fantasy novel, mainly designed for young people (12-16), but it's deep enough for adults and within reach of good readers who are younger.

If you like The Chronicles of Narnia, you'll love this series. It's also similar to the Harry Potter series, but for those who have problems with Harry Potter, you'll see that this is a faith-based alternative, without witchcraft, but still not overtly religous. (It ain't preachy! )

Anyway, please support an aspiring author (Me! ). Check out the links below.

Description of book http://www.dragonsinourmidst.com

Order on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books

Thank you.

Congrats Bryan! We have an Author in the House folks!!!

My youngest daughter, 14, is a huge Harry Potter fan. And a tomboy. This may interest her although I could never enthuse her with my love for reading like I could her sister!

Thanks for the link.

The artist's name is Robert Rodriguez. I agree, the covers are beautiful. I especially like the cover on the third book, "Circles of Seven." The man is immensely talented.

I'm sure your daughter would love the books. The two main characters are her age, and the girl on the cover, Bonnie, is heroic. Your daughter will love her courage.

Please drop me a note if you get the book. I'd like to know if she likes it.

Awesome Odad! I'm going to order it today...can I send it to you for a signing once the kids have read it? Writing is such an awesome gift...I've started a few childrens stories, but never felt I had what it took, and never hooked up with an illustrator....congrats on your series, I wish you much success, and I love the genre.
