S. Carribbean blobs have any chance?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Whats causing all the commotion down there?

It sure has fired up and just looking from a satellite's point of view you might think something was brewing.

I remember in the past Steve Lyons mentioned that when the trade winds slow down as they approach the central American land mass this leads to convective build-up, like when warm moist air runs up the Rockies or along a frontal boundry, lifting, cooling and T.storms.

I'll be looking all over the place as CC TX and S. Padre have had a crummy surf season so far and windy slop chop is just not fun anymore

I'm getting to old HeHe, "1980 surf report knee high and sloppy"

Redder calls the entire crew "surfs up"

and we would actually have fun 8-)
