Stom2k and NHC is all you need to know. Maybe a few local mets if it is bearing down on your location but there is more than enough info here, however you have to sift through the misinformation and all out wrong info but you have to do that for the people on TV also. [/quote]

Our local mets just parrot what they hear from someone else. They rarely, if ever, make their own call.

Absolutely. And someone will usually post the NHC information here well before they update their site anyway. :-)

Hi. Here's my first post! Found this board during Charley, and I haven't checked out any other weather sites since. There's no need. I'm no expert, just a big fan of big weather who likes to watch the canes. Ya'll are a great resource! :D

It does get very busy around here...specially when there are multiple storms out there. Sometimes have wondered if it would be better to brake up the board a little when that happens with subtopics for each storm. That way people could just go to the message board for the one storm they are watching. But then realized that would probably be too much work for the Admins and people may not like it. So just try to keep up best as possible..which is usually not at all with multiple posts per minute LOL :)

Thanks for all of the positive comments! The staff works real hard to provide all the weather info available. If you think of something you'd like added to the site just post it in the Tips Forum and we'll see what we can do :-)

My local met made a good call and the right call when he actually changed his forecast for Charley 3 hours before the NHC did

You talking about Tom Terry Josephine? He did change his track before NHC and he actually was close to DEAD on the whole way.. Im not sure how I feel about Local stations giving out there "own" tracks though.. Can realy cause confusion etc.. But like I said.. Tom NAILED it
