A borderline idiotic note about my neighbors..

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Here's one I forgot. This really bizarre lady that used to work with my mother-in-law at Tulane Hospital moved to Florida after the 1998 hurricane season. Her reasoning was that Louisiana gets hit by too many storms. She told me and we both shook our heads. Like uh, you're moving to Flordia lady. Surprise!

most of these people are retired from the up north right? Which means most have not lived in fla for more than 20 yrs max. There is always exceptions, but in general these people haven't a clue, and think its like a nor easter except in the summer instead of the winter. FL has always and will continue to be in the foreseeable future a transplant state, so of course they are not use to hurricane seasons, esp if they are from the midwest, or even the northeast. Yes, the ne because they are usually don't get cat 4 or 5 storm s up there. Maybe a gloria, or audrey back in 54, but that's the exception not the rule.
