History - 5 storms at once

What year waas it that we had five named storms strung across the Atlantic? Mid 90's, I can't recall.

That was a cool satellite image - five alive!

I believe it was 1995. The storms were Jerry, Iris, Humberto, Karen, and ????? Can't remember the last one.

1998 had four

I remember at one point, there were four out there -- Georges, Karl, Jeanne, and Ivan in mid-September. The map above shows their tracks. But I can't recall a 5-storm period unless I missed one in the link above.
