When was the last time..
Central Florida got hit by 2 HURRICANES in the same season..
I know we get on average 1-2 tropical storms a season.. But Charley was our worst since 1960 and 1st since 1995..
so when was the last time we had 2 HURRICANES in the same season

I thought Gladys was the only hurricane to hit Florida (and the U.S.) in 1968.
You are correct. There was no 2nd hurricane hit in 1968:

You are correct. I had the program tagged to display all the hurricanes in that area. Abby was a hurricane and weakened rapidly right as it got to land. Dolly and Brenda became hurricanes after they moved through Florida. My Bad. I forgot to set the program to show intensity at landfall instead of peak.

Play around with it. It can be addictive. (Of course, it works best with a broadband connection.)
