It is an average of the GFDL...UKMET...NOGAPS...AVN (or now GFS) model tracks.

However...with the NOGAPS model on crack...25% of the guidance from the GUNA consenus is currently skewed...IMHO.

MW, got a best site for us regular folks to see the latest model runs? I have used one page, the "experimental tropical cyclogensis" site, but not sure if I'm seeing the latest.

Well I always use the model maps from net-waves. They update very quickly. Click on TD6 for Frances because they have yet to updates the names after Charley.

Thanks <RICKY> For the model page URL. I like that format. But what the hell is up with the NHCA98, that track that goes zooming up north? I noticed a recent NOGAPS animation showing the same thing. Can't remember if those models are related.

You can also click on Models on storm2k's home page. http://www.storm2k.org/
Chad has made the home page a spot for Frances info...projected path, forecast track, advisories, models, satellite, etc.

Or here's the direct link to just the model map.
http://www.midatlanticwx.com/modelmap.htm

It shows Frances and TD7 on one page and it shows the long range GFS for Frances.
