Becoming very concerned

#1 Postby Derek Ortt » Sat Aug 28, 2004 1:01 pm

1. Gaston continues to organize. Radar shows some banding ocurring on the western side of the center. This could be the 3rd cane to affect the carolinas this month

2. The model data for Frances is making me extremely sick. Too many long range predictions bring this over la casa de Ortt (need something to lighten up the mood a little, lol). What has me sick about this scenario is not me losing everything, but the Charley victims having to endure another major hurricane

Derek, that's not exactly what I like to hear from you. When you start to get worried...well, it's getting close to time to head for the hills. Of course, I'm in Lincoln, Nebraska, so do you think I'll be safe if I just retreat back to Cheyene?

Yeah if Derek feels unsecure about Frances then I get concerned too. Eventhough I stick to the NHC forecast exclusively, I do get concerned when you do.

My plan is Cleveland, figure the Great Lakes will be safe.

Ok, so that was my travel plan for Labor Day weekend anyway :)

seems to be a great deal of model of convergence..la casa de jlauderdal whil 1 mile from la playa(the beach) is full protected and ready to roll..i am always concerned for inland people anywhere that dont have hurricane protection yet are in the line of fire..still a week away but this forecast looks real simple

Derek, I'm at 25 05' N 80 26' W. I saw UKMET output has the center only 35 miles away from Key Largo at CPA.

Is there a trend northward at 7 days, less strengthening or new weakness in the high?

My escape plan might have to be to Marathon instead of the mainland.

Seminoles vs Hurricanes in Miami next Saturday huh? I'd have to say the betting odds are on the Hurricanes at this point. Especially with the help of Frances. LOL. Would be one heck of a football game!!!

Hi Ricky...I don't think Derek is insecure about Frances, he is just expressing concern. Not the same thing...
