At least a hurricane watch can be issued northern leewards

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sat Aug 28, 2004 2:48 pm

In my opinion a hurricane watch as a precaution only can be issued for the northern leewards as Frances gets closer.Doing this alerts the people of those islands to prepare just in case Frances does a west movement not more north in latitud.

What do all think about it?

That's not a bad idea. Even though the storm is supposed to pass by, it would look pretty bad if they didn't do anything now when there is a possibility.

Agree 1000%, I was thinking the same about a hurricane watch for N. Antilles a few hours ago.
