GOM

#1 Postby CAT5Tiger » Sat Aug 28, 2004 5:01 pm

Anybody notice the blob growing under LA in the GOM? How amazing would it be to have yet another one cranking up? Probably nothing though. Thanks. :?:

No big thing...just areas of convection induced by summertime heating and a shortwave trough over SC Mississippi/SE Louisiana.

BTW, is it just me or do I live in the only part of Ascension Parish not to recieve rainfall? We've had around 1 inch since mid-July!

Same is true here in Vermilion Parish. Lots of clouds today, but not a drop. My grass is quite brown indeed. Mets. in Lafayette are expecting the front to come along and bring some rain, but we'll see. :(

They said that we would have a better chance of rain today and tomorrow. The front should move through sometimes tomorrow or monday.

Hey CajunMama! I'm located to your south and west and nothing fell in this part of Vermilion Parish. Looks like we're going to be pretty safe from Frannie-girl. Let's hope that the fronts will bring us some moisture. 8-)
