U.S.: Iraq not letting Red Cross visit POWs

#1 Postby chadtm80 » Sun Mar 30, 2003 11:27 pm

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Iraq still has not let the International Committee of the Red Cross visit U.S. prisoners of war, Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Sunday.

i am not sure the pow's they did not execute when thye captured those 12 are still alive. i have a feeling the iraqis dont want any witnesses left alive.
since they killed some of them, i think they went ahead and killed them all. we must hunt them down
and kill the ones who did this, including saddam hussein

I'm afraid to admit it, but you may be right. I can't remember the Red Cross ever being turned down access to American POW's before. The most logical reason...they have already been executed

We need to make them (Iraqi leaders) all pay...every last one of them!! :grrr: :grrr:

Perry,
The Red Cross,Christian Missionaries and many Philanthropic groups have been denied access to POWs in many wars. How many Stalags had visitation hours in Poland unless the Nazis wanted to use them for propoganda? The Taliban? No way.Rarely in Korea...ditto Vietnam...The Hanoi Hilton had a one way door..you could check in,but you could never leave..unless again, propoganda was employed.
I am afraid the POWs are now either dead..in Torture chambers, rape rooms or disposed of half dead in thier infamous human Chipper/Shredders.It is sickening. This gives new meaning to the term Atrocity Of War.The War Crimes mount as we speak.

I would not expect a Regime that tortures and kills babies, rapes woman for the sport of it, kills their own as they are trying to flee, and uses every torture technique known to man, to recognize a Humanitarian Organization such as the Red Cross.

Great point. The Iraqis are either torturing these people or as rainstorm suggested, they have killed the POWs. It is time to make them pay!!! :grrr:

It's a sad day for sure. I would be very surprised if the POW's were still alive. If this is going to be a "no quarter" fight then so be it...

Run up red flags on all vehicles, play the "Deguello" (the "cut-throat" song, played by Santa Anna's band outside the Alamo to signal "no quarter") on loudspeakers in the van of battle, and ROLL!

Generalisimo don Santa Ana was one fierce foe.He used those tactics of psychological warfare long before our Siege of Noriega when we played Van Halens' 'Panama' at full tilt!In your pock marked face Manuel!Reagan new how to remove a punk Regime pronto which I may address at a later date in comparison to this campaign.
I say load the CD players on the Apaches with 'Rock the Casbah' by 'The Clash' and kick some Baghdad Butt!

Hmm Iraq knows that they will lose this war. Meaning that they will do anything to try to take out USA troops.

Sorry...my lack of age is showing. I was remembering since the Iran Hostage Crisis in 1979-81. That's honestly about as far back as I can remember (I was only 12 when the war in Vietnam ended).
