Count me into the north-of-Florida camp. It's a bit far north for the GOM ((unless it tracks straight west for the next 3 days and then hugs PR/Hispanola/Cuba)) and I've seen the eastern Florida repellent effect too many times to count. Only if a cane gets on steroids like Andrew does it have a chance to live up to its reputation in eastern FL.
We might even get lucky and have this be a glorious fish, but as I am scheduled to be flying back into town on Labor Day, the more likely scenario is for Frances to have come overland storming into the Mid-Atlantic area and make me delayed at the take-off airport. ((Yes, I know this is an anti-wishcast, but...)) Extra travel rations are going into my luggage.
Poll : Where will Frances make landfall?
