This means a path to near 21 north and 70 west by Wednesday night. The ridge weakens and a more northwest course follows. But the end game is slow and painful, one that can find it as far north and east as the GFDL which is a surfers storm for Florida and little beyond, or the European and 18z run of the GFS which would put Frances in a category of Charley and Andrew. The UKMET is trying the nearly impossible..to hit Jacksonville from the southeast

Didn't Hurricane David in 1979 travel up the Florida coast, hitting Jacksonville on the way?

I hope not! Jacksonville is a wonderful town. My brother and I loved our week we spent there this year.
