Do you have a tv antenna in your home?

You should be able to get Channel 4's signal in Boca.

Believe it or not, I just watched Roland Steadham, and he did a really good job explaining all the various possibilities, and how the NHC official track doesn't necessarily extrapolate into what people think it does, that it could change, remember what happened with Charley, blah blah. I was actually surprised at the amount of detail he went into.

Roland Steadham is gonna be the first one at NBC6 to crap in his pants if Frances heads our way. The NBC6 station isnt very secure....

WSVN Channel 7 is the most insecure building.

It's located in North Bay Village, right on an island in the bay, in a Hurricane evacuation zone.

During Andrew, they evacuated the entire station and had to broadcast from their transmission tower in North Dade.

No? Is that the HQ out by I-75? What's wrong with it? Why is it not that secure? You'd think a major TV station in hurricane country would want to move into a secure building?

I think that the new NBC-6 station is sorta new. Meaning it would have built by a strickter post-Andrew code. Looks like a sturdy structure, No?Plus it's right of I-75 in Miramar and pretty far inland. WSVN is another story!

He says....

*Heading in our general direction
*The slower the better for us. She'll catch a trough
*Odds are in favor of us feeling some effects from Frances
*New track at 11. May have adjustments.
*Stay tuned, of course!

Oh yes. The differences between all the networks is almost funny. Channel 7 met had the "high dipping south and Frances going under it and below the Keys" scenario as one of his possibilities.

The only thing that struck me was that both NBC and CBS used these exact words.."Moving in our general direction" as if they were prompted to by some higher authority. Just struck me odd.

My solution is I try to get a general ideas of what all the networks are thinking and then go to the NHC for the final word.

Who cares? Consider yourself lucky. He wants a hurricane here.
