#1 Postby Derek Ortt » Tue Aug 31, 2004 6:43 am

we have 3 hourly updates (not just me as I cannot possibly do updates every 3 hours without dying from exhaustion) at http://www.nwhhc.com/atl062004.html

As for this storm, this is now a cat 4 based upon the latest recon data and it could near categroy 5 intensity if that eye decides that it needs to contract

I think this thing could bomb Derek big time by the way that outflow is setting up.

now with that eye shape it wont. If it becomes a 5, it will likely do so gradually, which it could very well do. But this is a far more dangerous set up as we wont see a tornado like damage swath that we saw with charley, but a wide one instead

This could be worst then Andrew in Charley put together. This might be what we call the big one? I knew some day a hurricane of this size would some day happen.
