Thanks so much for everyone's contribution and kind words! Every penny will be spent making this site even better. Just bear with us through the rough times for the next day or so and we'll get the server stabilized as much as we can. We'll try and stay on top of the server so when it does hiccup we'll get it back running as soon as possible.

The issue is that we've never had 400 people on-laine at once
We're currently running with 1 GB of RAM but we're adding another 1/2 GB as soon as we can. It's already ordered and we're just waiting on the installation. We'll go down hard when that happens but it shouldn't take very long to get it back up and running. Other than that we're on a Pentium IV 2.x Mhz machine.

Just registered last night, but I feel that the web site is one of my most valuable information source. Couldn't live without it. Thanks

Took the challenge Galveston Duck, from one Galvestonian to another. We really do need to help particularly since Texas has been lucky so far....

The donations have been wonderful! Thanks to everyone for the outpouring of support! We'll put every penny donated to work on the site. We do this as a labor of love (and because we're hurricane freaks) but you all have made it worthwhile with the comments and non-critical support. It's very very much appreciated!
