The storm continues to strengthen. Just looked at new IR loop and she's impressive. Very well could be on its way to Cat 5 status.

She also has an upper low to the west...and one to the east providing almost perfect outflow. I think we will see a cat 5...probably not at landfall because that is a very rare setup...but I think she will be one sooner or later.

I'm thinking she'll reach 150 mph tops. Although she could reach 160 mph for a short period.

I agree it won't be a Cat 5 at landfall. These perfect conditions don't usually last very long.

But if the perfect conditions did exist for a landfalling 5, chances are it would be the warm waters in the Bahamas setting up for central Florida approach.
