Our local news has been pretty laid back about the whole Frances situation. They've been saying just to keep on monitoring her progress. Now after the 11 o'clock advisory, they're saying we need to brace ourselves for this storm. They're telling us that she is going to come in between southern and central FL and then travel up the state inland and then exit into GA. Their tunes sure have changed.

I've heard talks of burning these piles. They need to make a decision and let us know asap. There is tons of debris everywhere still; downed trees just pushed aside, heck even old telephone poles just pushed to the side of the road. Very scary to think about.

Unfortunately this is a definite possiblity, one which I have discussed with an NWS friend in FL. who in fact could be right in the bullseye himself. It of course, is not a given, but a very definite possiblity. I'm starting a FISH!! FISH! FISH!! chant in hopes of changing the course, but I do not hold out a lot of hope for any huge changes from what NHC is showing.
