I get the feeling we may see a Gulf Coast landfall as well.

This season has been something else.

I'm new here, but quite a veteran when it comes to tropical storms. I've been monitoring TJUA Nexrad out of Puerto Rico since early this morning. So far I have not see the turn to the NW begin. Most of the day she's been going just a tad north of due west, mostly with wobbles. Unfortunately, Frances will be out of radar range by the morning, and still too far from KAMX in Miami, so satellite imagery will have to do.

Anyway....I wish I would've found this forum a long time ago! Glad to be here!

00z GFS is a little more south at first...then about the same.

But...the trough coming out of the rockies is slower by a few hundred miles. Thats a big change.

This is a Florida storm.

I'm beginning to think that this storm may enter the Gulf of Mexico, as well. How far South is the question?? Then where will Frances land? Will Frances have room or time over the, almost hot, waters of the Gulf of Mexico to, again, strengthen and cause more destruction somewhere East of the mouth of the Mississippi River??

Agree.....I have very little doubt that this will hit Florida in one way or another. Heck, the way it's looking right now, it may hit Florida twice!

Thanks for the welcomes!
