1:45 PM EDT Storm2k Tropical update,Sept 1

The next few hours will be very critical to see where powerful hurricane Frances will make landfall.

Right now Frances is holding it's own as it is going thru another eyewall replacement.Still the outflow looks fair to excellent in al quadrants and the structure continues to be great so there is no reason that Frances will make landfall as a major hurricane. It is possible that Frances gets briefly to cat 5 status as it will be moving thru 85F+ waters.

About the track it is moving westnorthwest and that track should continue with a slower motion later in the period.Still there is some uncertainty about where it will make landfall and many of the models are not in consensus but the best track for now is the east coast landfall near West Palm Beach but nothing can be said now about exactly it will go.

Elsewhere in the atlantic:

A strong tropical wave located SSE of the Cape Verde islands is well organized at this time and a tropical depression may form in the next 24-48 hours as it moves west around 15 mph.

This product is not official. The official source is the National Hurricane Center.

When you made this statement...

Did you actually mean, "There is every reason to Frances will make landfall as a major hurricane"? Am I just reading this wrong. Because it sounds like you're saying it WON'T be a major hurricane.
