The donut has returned....hate to see this as it gets closer to populated areas of the Bahamas and Florida.

Man I've stood firm on my path (S.FLA THEN GOMEX) since yesturday but I may need to re-think my post on no cat 5 shes gonna get close if NOT make it! :eek:

I also interpret it as strengthening behavior. Not surprising over favorable waters...

It looks much stronger now. The outflow is bombing out on the northwest quad. With very deep convection forming around the 30 nmi wide eye. The water has more laten heat after 75 west. Which in all cases there is a area around 65 to 70 west where the water doe's not have the laten heat to form a hurricane this strong. So no wonder it was looking kind of like trash today. I expect this to bomb over the next 24 to 36 hours then another eyewall replacement then. On how strong it will be as it is going in will mean what stage of the eye wall replacement it is in at that time. I'm going to guest it will be on a upswing at the time.
