06 Z Eta...

#1 Postby PurdueWx80 » Thu Sep 02, 2004 3:16 am

After a flip...the Eta has flopped back to southern Florida. It is still way too early to know if the Eta has caught on to something...BUT the last few GOES frames have shown a westward trend/wobble and a general slowing.

It has joined the NOGAPS,CMC,EURO, and LBAR on an SOUTH or Central Florida Landfall. With all of them getting into the GOM. It is going to be interesting to see if the GFS breaks it's Crack Habit. Airforce MET said it would be this run(06Z) that the Gulf Stream data would come into play.

YES. these Globals do not initialize these TC's very well. For instance, this run started frances off as a 1008 MB low. They are not good on intinsity,at all.
