Please remind everyone, that as the storm moves forward, the wind fields also travel forward and so you will have already had intense rainfall and tropical storm force winds before the worst part of the storm ever gets to you. The graphics are great, but to a novice, it might translate to "I don't have to worry because it won't get to me. It will as long as it is traveling and as long as it remains a CATegory storm and you are in its path at any point.
