My mother-in-law was listening to a local station (wish I knew which one) that said they sent recon into the high pressure system (the one that has the potential to keep this one south)....their info. came back and said that the system is strong....anyone know anything about this????

That's why the NHC track was shifted south. Looks like a landfall on the northern part of the Miami/WPB metro area right now.

What do you think the chances are of that shifting south again? Trust me, I don't want it, just curious....

I don't know. It could go south, but I don't expect it to hit south of Miami(which would leave you in the weaker south side).

Any shift will probably be minor but I would bet on south as that has been the trend and we are into the part of the forecast cone where NHC does an excellent job..Like Charely it could make a 50+ mile jog either way..so focus on the cone..
