At this point, since there is so much confusion, I not only post this message for people to answer, but God as well. This message is dedicated to God.
Here are some modest observations. A channel of dry air is moving across Florida; is that from a building ridge of high pressure or is it the dry air that precedes a hurricane?
Next factor...typically, for a strong hurricane to make a significant turn, its forward direction has to slow down. However, its moving speed has fluctuated from 17 to 16 to 15 to 14 and now back to 15.
This hurricane has strenghtened and its pressure has lowered. As it gets stronger, does it or does it not become harder to steer it towards the NW?
Here is yet another factor...in the NHC discussion, from reconaissance observations, the high pressure ridge to the north of the hurricane has been stronger than anticipated.
Last but certainly not least, from past experience, a turn in hurricane track can be foretelled by the peripheral cloud patterns. For example, if this storm were to indicate a NW or Northerly shift, its top half of peripheral clouds would start expanding northward. From observations of three different satellite loops, this has been observed. However, just as soon as this occured, 2 or 3 loops later, the northern peripheral walls were suppressed from stretching any further north and even faded away.
One more factor...how will the trough and the position of the high pressure systems come into play. Is there a weakness between the two high pressures or are they merging together?
As crazy as this may sound, look around for animal activity. Some scientists have speculated whether animals can sense an arriving hurricane through sounds so low that the human ear cannot pick up. If there are signs of strange animal activity (i.e. disappearance of birds from the area) could this be foretelling something?
Here are some factors that need to be given serious consideration. Any thoughts are welcome.
Here are the 3 satellite loops I have been observing...
