they passed a law that says if you are driving in the left hand lane you will be ticketed unless you are attempting to pass someone. people who squat in the left lane and refuse to move over cause too many accidents. this is a great law!! i hope they do this in virginia

I have to agree Derek, although Atlanta drivers are a close very second. Driving in either city will give you nervous chills and nightmares

Now that they passed the law let's hope they enforce it. England had tthe same type of law and they were very serious about enforcement. It was a real pleasure driving over there! :-)

Yes, if this ever becomes a law in VA it would enable you to pass everyone who is going under 100 MPH on the highway!

Yep this is a great law! Needed in all 50 states. In Nj they will ticket you for this. My grandfather got a ticket on the A.C. Expressway once for doing this. And if you guys wanna really see some bad driving take a trip thru Delaware. There you have oppisits especially on highways like i95. You have about 60% that think the highway number (95) is the speed limit then the others who go about 50! The Pa Tp is alot like this as well!
But like i said this is a very needed law in every state.

Very true King of Weather!

That is a good law! Wow, the lawmakers actually did something that made sense for once! That's because it's very bipartisan. I'm impressed!

here in Miami, at least most people do only drive on the left when they are going fast (fast being about 75 m.p.h. on a crowded highway, or 100+ during rush hour on the Turn Pike). The bad driving here is running red lights, cutting everyone off, flipping everyone off, and god forbid that we ever use a turn signal. However, I will say that after about 2 weeks, one gets used to it, but takes up the bad habits as well

Atlanta traffic is a piece of cake compared to the drivers on I-4 that runs through Orlando FL. New Orleans drivers drive like maniacs and also put Atlanta drivers to shame.

MS drivers are laid back.

Iowa's traffic isn't too bad, but that LAW is definitely needed in Illinois, they are crazy!
