I live in Jax and was curious how N. Fl. might fair in this situation? I have heard all kinds of possibilities. I am preparing for the worst just in case. Any info would be of great help. Thank you in advance and prayers for anybody the will be effected.

( not a prof ...just a weather watcher) My best guess at this moment looks like you will be on the far northern edge, but storms have a way of not following the paths we tell them. I'd prepare for strong winds and excessive rain ( flooding rain looks like it will be an issue for ALL of Florida...so plan on that regardles). Stock up, buckle down and if it misses you entirely, breath a sigh of relief.

I am in Jax too. We should not have any major problems here if the storms makes landfall in south Florida and is moving NW.

However we will probably gets lots of rain as the storm moisture will still come over us later.

However do watch it closely. If Francis gets close to the coast and then turns much more north and even starts to parallel the coast then we could get some high winds along the beaches.

If it changes course to a more northly tract at the last moment and stays off the coast until it landfalls in NE Fla then it is a serious problem.

Another senario is it just clipping south Fla and going into the Gulf then recurving into NE gulf and passing over us from the SW. This will be days away if it ever happens.

But it looks like to me that this is a South Fla storm with just lots of rain for us on Sunday.

But that can change so keep your eye on this hurricane

Lots of rains, isolated tornadoes. I really don't see wind as a big problem(maybe gusts in squalls).
