Consider this...

There was a story on the news or in the paper after Charley to where a family decided to ride out the storm. As their home was being torn apart and they were ( 4 of them) now huddled into a closet the father was apologizing to his kids for NOT leaving.

Now as a mom of 3 I am not going to put myself into that position. I still am unsure WHERE I am going but I do know that I live in a mobile on the west coast and I AM getting out of our home. Our decision as to where will be made by the 11:00 advisory.

low lying and on the west coast. They had a lot of problems with the no name storm.

I am about 40 minutes NW of Tampa. - Pasco County
Charley did not even effect us directly.

Completely see your point. NHC track takes the eye close to you, maybe a hair east. It'll be close. I think your making the right decision. A slight deviation in the track could mean a big difference.
