FLL Report
Well I went to "sleep" after reading that 11 pm disco last night..checked the sta t 130 am and of course woke to what i already knew was going to happen. SLight adjustment to the left wiht what i expect a bit more to the left hopefully keeping the eyeall north of me. i want to be on the south side of this eye no matter what. Went out 530 am to get another 300 bucks of cash since this new track look like more damage. Sofla has a ton of work to do to get ready. Less than 10% of this area is shuttered up and we still have people in line at home depot like 100 deep in line..TS for them, they should have been prepared. Anyway this town will be buzzing today as people shutter up.

Thanks for the update. My parents live just north of you, (i'm in the midwest--but your area is my "home") and I pushed them to get all their preparations done yesterday, figuring this was going to happen. Still don't think they have enough water, but they are much more prepared today than yesterday.
Will be watching for your posts as things progress to see what conditions will be like. I hear channel 4 (Norcross) is doing a great job--and has been calling this track all along?

I have mixed emotions in regards to Homestead and why they haven't done much boarding. Well when Andrew hit did it matter that much? I wuld just get out.
Now I am on the West coast and am considering evac out of state ( I live in a 1984 mobile) If I was on the East coast there would be no questions. Everyone be wise and safe!

Evacuation in your case is a VERY big recommendation. The storm is likely to exit florida near your area, and being in an older mobile home in such conditions (it may still be Cat 3 over your area) is a poor choice in this storm. I strongly recommend you leaving. Even if your area is spared, better to be alive and safe.

I agree the decision is to Evac. My question at this time is where? If they do not order evacs for our area ny hubby can't get off work. ( Personal time is gone due to death of father in July) We have a place to go out of state. But am unsure if that far off is wise. To many decisions.
BUT YES EVAC IS A FOR SURE THING

I’m sorry, I have read some STUPID posts before but this one really rates in the top 10!
Obviously you have no idea of what it’s like to experience a storm of this magnitude; yea your “handle” implies you are a veteran of Hugo but your statement clearly makes me believe the only true experience you have are the post-pictures you found on the Internet, otherwise you wouldn’t have posted such a ridicules statement!
