Does anyone have a good grasp
on how strong this high pressure really is? Last night we saw a wobble for a few hours to the NW then back WNW recently is looks not to be going NW but between WNW and NW. I know this is hard to forecast, just wondering if anyone has a good feel how strong this high pressure causing WNW movement really is .

Yes...can someone explain its potential effects ( in laymans terms). It looks like it is dipping down further into Florida.
It seems the track would move more west and south ( from where it was last forecast) and with much slower motion.
( I'm still learning...don't completely understand the cause & effects, but am beginning to get a general feel for some of them.)

The 11PM NHC discussion from last night (9-1-04) focused on this particulary with regard to additional recon data gathered by G-IV and a C-130 on the environment surrounding Frances.

This is a discussion that should be read by everyone on this board. Not only was the track discussed but factors surrounding the intensity were covered.

Less likely

I think the point of the 11PM discussion was that it is becoming less likely.
