The post stating that South Florida was taking unneccessary precautions has been removed. Please be aware that this is a serious situation and People are very upset. That post only serves to aggravate the situation. This is A SERIOUS storm and I would rather leave 10 times and not have to, then to stay and be sorry I did. The local authorities know their job as does the NHC. Please take this advice seriously. If you continue to post these things there will be consequenses. The staff here at S2K is very fair and we put our pride and effort into this site. Please Respect it and all of our members.

I was shocked to read that message header. I didn't get to see the message before it was deleted. I'm SO glad you deleted it. right now people need to be able to get accurate information and resources here. That post if left alone would have created a flame war that would have distracted everyone from what's truly important.

Great job moderators & admin.!!! That's what makes this site so good. Active moderation is hard but necessary (speaking from experience as a one-time moderator of another 1500+ member forum)

I never saw the post, because I was working on my hurricane preps. I'm really curious now. Who was the author? For 3 days now a member named Hurricane_lover has been screaming in just about every thread that it was going to the Carolinas. I also noticed that he/she mentioned their location was Miami. Hurricane_lover, I sincerely hope that you have abandoned that false belief and are getting ready for the storm. Good luck to all...
