#1 Postby cycloneye » Thu Sep 02, 2004 1:33 pm

A 1012 MB LOW PRESSURE IS CENTERED NEAR 10N26.5W ASSOCIATED WITH
A TROPICAL WAVE EXTENDING ALONG 2N27W 15N25W. MOVEMENT OF THIS
SYSTEM IS WEST ESTIMATED AT 15 KT. THREE TENTHS MEASURED BANDING
OF SCATTERED MODERATE TO STRONG CONVECTION THAT IS CURRENTLY
FLARING..AND GOOD OUTFLOW OVER THE W SEMICIRCLE CONTINUES TO
INDICATE THAT A TROPICAL DEPRESSION MAY BE FORMING.

That from the 2 PM Discussion. This afternoon or evening we will see TD#9 form.

Latest images do indicate a continued organization with this system. It will be no surprise if this system is a tropical storm already.

If it weren't for Frances, this would have been TD#9 or TS Ivan already..

Visible images may suggest a CDO feature developing already. Yesterday, it was the banding, today the CDO? I believe Satellite Intensity Estimates are underestimating this feature....

Let us ALL pray and hope it will be a FISH! Or for that matter a major hostile environment!
