I don't know yet. The NHC has a second landfall around Apalachicola as a Tropical Storm. You should monitor it since it could easily go towards you.

Hi Kat - I'm in Cantonment. From what I've been reading here and seen on TWC, I wouldn't rule it out. Derek Ortt has put out some good forecasts that leads it in our direction. You can find links to them on this forum. At this point I'd say prepare to be on the safe side, and watch for another day or so.

Hey Kat,

While it's nice to see you hear realize this. While some of us are pro mets with degrees and jobs in forecasting, or grad/undergrad students in Meteorology I'd still recommend paying attention to what the NHC (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov) says in relation to the storm. This site is great and it's nice to get the opinion of different pro/student mets as well as other followers of the weather but the NHC and NWS are still the official ones you need to pay attention to when making decisions about this storm.

Agree with the above statement. I won't rule out a pensacola or ft walton beach landfall but I will say this nhc has been pretty good with the track on this thing and right now they don't think it's going any further west than appalachicola so I'd put my money with them now
