NHC's Max Mayfield Says

#1 Postby Guest » Thu Sep 02, 2004 5:41 pm

In a interview with Bryan Norcross that aired 20 minutes ago or so said that he expects a west turn..Depending on how strong the ridge is will determine the degree of the turn "It could head due west" he said..All the areas in the warning area need to complete their preperation & be alert.

I live in northeast Florida, so I want this storm south. Yeah, it sucks to hope the storm goes south but I don't want my home blown away. Sorry.

Thats what he said..

The last thing he is going to say is that South fla is out of the woods & then have this thing make a hard left.I forgot to mention that he (Mayfield) also said that the dropsonde from the plane flying to north of Frances is indicating a healthy ridge building.
