Weathertap goes free for storm

#1 Postby Downdraft » Thu Sep 02, 2004 6:08 pm

Weathertap announced free access for the duration of the storm. User name hurricane password hurricane. When another popular board goes paid at the height of an uncoming disaster a paid site goes free so people can have access to needed information. Way to go Weathertap!!!!!!

weathertap is an excellent radar site for those of us that follow severe weather specifically severe thunderstorms. I don't know many storm chasers that don't use it. It's not the best for this type of application however. It will give you the best NEXRAD images of Frances when it's within range. The neat thing is marketing ploy or not they want people to have all the information they can digest.
