I read, on this very site, that hurricanes don't stop, and make sudden turns.
(Forgive me, the bashing of Carolina "forecasters" predicting just such a turn to the North pisses me off).

If you are in the warning area, BE PREPARED!!!!!!!!
God, I hope people are taking this seriously.
There was a report on TV from Nassau, a local radio show guy there said they had underestimated Frances.
