Is this true? I don't always think my hubby listens very well and would like a credible source

My hubby was in the other room watching tv and just came out to tell me that the National Hurricane Center's Directors was just on and said that the chances of Francis going south of central FL was pretty slim at this time.

Thanks

If it happens that Miami is spared then count your lucky stars and don't make the foolish assumption that it can't happen to your town. It can.
BTW, Miami has a good meteorology program. Maybe you will take a few courses, ja?

I live in Miami, and I've been hoping all along for this thing to move more North. That said, I don't think it's unreasonable to say it's a "pretty slim" chance of coming here. The NHC's probability for a hit near Miami is 11% tomorrow (8% tonight, which isn't going to happen). Sure, they may be off, but even if they're off by a factor of 200%, that's only a 1/3 chance of it coming within 65 miles of Miami.
As it is, if they're right, it's a 1/9 chance. I'd say that's pretty slim, but maybe other people have a different definition of slim. Let's hope it misses everyone and goes out to sea.

I don’t pay to much attention to Norcross since his Floyd Flop, but caught a forecast of his earlier this evening during the evening news.. is it me or is there something wrong with his eyes… he blinks so much it makes my eye’s water…

I was watchin the Channel 10 news in Palm Beach (ABC). The guy said that they were in discussion with the NHC and they said that they were thinking now a hit further north than 5 pm advisory. Somewhere on the space coast, I believe. He said we'd have to wait a few hours before the official advisory came out. I wonder why Max Mayfield would say what he said and then I hear this from local weather guy. That's the crap that makes me crazy.

I think he wears contacts and when he doesn't sleep or take them out, he blinks like that.
