My Opinion

#1 Postby jagesq » Thu Sep 02, 2004 10:20 pm

In seems to me that Francis as already bumped into that high pressure. Her recent weakening can certainly be attributed to that. I believe that to escape this, she very well may make that sharp West turn and starting tracking West. She also could reintesify over the warmer shallower waters. Boy I sure hope not because West of her is more populated than the current track into the treasure coast.

being steered around high pressure does not cause weakening......frances has been "bumped up" against high pressure her entire track..

The ridge is probably too narrow and Frances is too powerful to really deviate. She'll compromise 295-300 and then get veered by the High slotting west above her.

No left turn. Refer to NHC...

I guess we are all just people I disagree with. Heres my fore(wish)cast, Hurricane Frances is tracking North East and will soon turn directly east. Be careful bermuda may be back in play, but the upper bahamas and florida appear to be spared.

Everyone would love that track, if it were ever to happen...

Sanibel, I respectfully disagree. I think Frances has made that left turn. Refer to NHC satellite loop.
