#1 Postby SwampDawg » Thu Sep 02, 2004 11:40 pm

It was September 1965...... http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/weathe ... cane.story .

I'm in no way saying that these storms are similar...i'm just posting this because of the strange things that storms can do.....Everyone needs to be prepared!!

I agree. Be prepared. My parents were'nt in 83 with Alicia and being 12 at the time I will never forget how powerful a cat3 cane can be.

This does sound similar to Frances though.

Models have come a long way since 1965, so a repeat of Betsy is very unlikely to be unforseen. But, still you are very right, everybody under a hurricane warning needs to be prepared.

I was starting to feel almost out of the woods, then you bring up Betsy.

After all her loop-dee-loos, she tracked right across the Upper Keys.

Please, I want to relax a little when Frances gets north of 25 -- where I hope it is when I wake up.
